Actor DAVID HASSELHOFF wishes he'd romantically pursued "friend" DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES while she was alive, because they "clicked" when they met. The 53-year-old star recounts his meeting with the royal in his new autobiography MAKING WAVES. Hasselhoff says, "I could sense her pain. I always admired her. I probably would have gone after her if circumstances had been different. In the end I just wanted to be a friend and to hang out with her.
