BUMRUSH Girl of the Month: Kate Beckinsale

Here’s all you need to know about Kate Beckinsale. She was placed at #23 in FHM's "100 Sexiest Women in the World", #16 in Maxim's "HOT 100" (2003), #63 in Stuff's "100 Sexiest Women in the World", and selected as "England’s #1 Beauty” by Hello! magazine. You want more? Ok, she starred in Underworld and Underworld: Evolution which were both worth the price of admission simply because of her and what she was wearing. Plus, she’s done nude in The Haunting and Uncovered (NSFW).

Best Movie: Aviator aside, which she only had a minor part in, the IMDB voters say her best movie was Much Ado About Nothing, directed and starring Kenneth Branagh in 1993. That’s crap I say. For my money, it doesn’t get any better than hot women in leather, aka Underworld, or if you prefer Underworld: Evolution.

Worst Movie: The IMDB voters say it’s a movie I’ve never heard of before called Tiptoes. Tiptoes amazingly stars not only Beckinsale, but also Gary Oldman and Matthew McConaughey. Here is the plot:
Gary Oldman plays as a dwarf brother to a normal-sized Matthew McConaughey. When McConaughey's girlfriend (played by Kate Beckinsale) becomes pregnant, the pair are fearful that the baby will inherit the Oldman gene. Matters are complicated still further when Beckinsale finds herself falling in love with Oldman's character
Gary Oldman as a dwarf? How does that not work?

Personally, while I disliked Van Helsing, Beckinsale was alright in it, plus she was still smoking. I would have to say the movie I hated the most that she was in was Pearl Harbor, which was what, 10 hours long? While Beckinsale was non-offensive in it, overall it’s just a horrible movie.

Completely Random Internet Fact: According to an interview she gave on the UK show "The Big Breakfast" in December 2001, she hates wearing knickers. Ye-hah.
